Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Value Addition of Agricultural Produces

The ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kasaragod organised an Entrepreneurship development programme on Value addition of Agricultural Produces from 8 to 10th of October 2023. The programme was organised in collaboration with the Agri Business Incubator, Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur under the PMFME scheme. A total of 20 entrepreneurs from Kasaragod district attended the programme. During the first day topics such as food domain knowledge, entrepreneurship development opportunities, packaging and labelling, branding and marketing and high end food production technologies were covered. The trainees were imparted practical training in the production of coconut and millet based value added products during the second day. During the third day various topics such as banking, business registration and legal compliance, coconut value addition and food processing equipments were covered. The entrepreneurs had registered under the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme and have availed the benefits under the scheme. The inauguration of the programme was done by Dr.Sudheer K.P., Professor and Head, ABI, KAU and during the valedictory session was chaired by Dr.K.B.Hebbar, Director, ICAR-CPCRI.
